How to get a CDL in Gary?
To earn your CDL in Gary, you need to attend an ELDT certified training listed on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry, such as the DriveCo Gary, Indiana campus. Before beginning training, you’ll need to earn your Commercial Learners Permit (CLP). At DriveCo, this step is baked into our training programs.

Following training, you’ll need to pass the CDL skills test, a three-part exam that includes a pre-trip inspection, testing of basic control skills, and an on-road driving test.

What CDL courses are offered at the Gary Campus?

DriveCo’s Gary campus offers Class A CDL training and Class B CDL training. Full time and part time classes are available for both programs. Private CDL training and refresher courses are offered on an as-needed basis. Each of these programs follow the FMCSA guidelines, including ELDT requirements.

How long is CDL training?
Full-time and part-time training options are available for Class A CDL training. Full-time training takes place Monday-Friday and is 4 weeks. Part-time training is offered on weekends and weeknights for 10 weeks. All Class A CDL training programs equal 160 hours.

The length of Class B CDL training can vary based on the needs of the student. Due to this, please contact us for more information regarding training.
